Minnesota-based solar company Wolf River Electric (doing business as LTL LED) sued Google in March 2025 over allegations that Google's AI Overview feature generated false information stating the company was being sued by the Minnesota Attorney General for deceptive business practices. According to the complaint, this information did not appear in any of the sources Google cited. The lawsuit claims customers cancelled projects worth over $200,000 after seeing the AI-generated content.
