Deep Lex aspires to become the trusted resource for AI regulation, policy, and ethics in the legal sector. We democratise AI knowledge for the legal community, offering clear insights into both the opportunities and challenges of this transformative technology.
The name Deep Lex captures our focus: deep speaks both to the need for rigorous, beyond-superficial analysis in a fast-moving field, and to the AI method of deep learning. Lex means law. Together, they represent a deep understanding of law in the age of AI.
Our Founders
Deep Lex was founded in 2024 by Gillian Forsyth, an international arbitration lawyer and AI enthusiast based in Paris.
My journey into AI began in 2021 whilst studying blockchain technology in international trade finance. What started as professional curiosity evolved into a passion for AI and its transformative potential.
As both a lawyer and an AI user, I've witnessed its remarkable capabilities—and understood the critical importance of its responsible development and use.
Recognising a gap in resources for legal professionals, I created Deep Lex to help colleagues understand and leverage AI effectively. The platform focuses on the intersection of technology, ethics and law, empowering lawyers to protect their clients' interests in an increasingly complex AI-driven world.
Sandra Geahchan joined as co-founder in September 2025, bringing complementary expertise to Deep Lex's mission.
Sandra is an international arbitration lawyer in Paris. She is qualified before the NY Bar. With experience spanning dispute resolution, mediation, and international policy, she brings a legal and policy lens to AI's evolving regulation.
She shares Gillian's vision to grow an AI literate legal community and for Deep Lex to become the premier resource for lawyers seeking information on AI tech, regulation and ethics.
