  • The Artificial Intelligence and Data Act (AIDA), part of Bill C-27, died on the order paper when Parliament prorogued in January 2025 and has not been reintroduced. The government has established the AI and Data Standardization Collaborative and maintains a voluntary Code of Conduct for Generative AI. Signatory to the Council of Europe Framework Convention on AI.
